COMMODITIES ON PEATLANDS

A large proportion of the peat swamp forests in Southeast Asia, particularly Indonesia and Malaysia, has been deforested and converted to drained land-uses, particularly oil palm and Acacia pulpwood plantations. We have been working with responsible palm oil producers (RSPO) to reduce drainage and support peatland restoration.
